Horse Riding – Terms & Conditions

By booking or participating in a horse riding excursion with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your reservation.

1. Participation & Rider Responsibility

Horse riding is an outdoor activity that involves animals and natural environments and therefore carries inherent risks. By taking part, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to follow all instructions given by our guides at all times.

Riders must:

• Follow safety guidelines provided before and during the ride

• Treat horses with care and respect

• Behave responsibly towards staff, animals, and other guests

 

We reserve the right to refuse participation or end a ride early without refund if a guest’s behaviour is deemed unsafe.

2. Age, Weight & Riding Ability

• Children must be supervised and may be required to ride on a lead rope depending on age and ability.

• Riders must be physically fit and capable of mounting, riding, and dismounting a horse.

• For the welfare of our horses a weight limit of 85kg applies. Please contact us in advance if you are unsure.

• Riding routes and pace may be adjusted based on experience levels.

 

3. Health & Medical Conditions

Participants must inform us prior to the ride of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or pregnancy that may affect their ability to ride safely. We do our best to make suitable accommodations however we reserve the right to decline participation if a condition presents a safety risk.

4. Safety Equipment

Helmets are available and strongly recommended, especially for children and inexperienced riders. Wearing appropriate clothing and closed-toe footwear is required.

5. Weather & Environmental Conditions

Horse riding excursions operate in natural outdoor conditions. Routes, timings, or activities may be modified or cancelled due to weather, tides, or safety considerations. In such cases, we will offer an alternative where possible.

6. Bookings, Payments, Cancellations & Late Arrivals

Cancellations

• Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time to be eligible for a refund.

• Cancellations made within 24 hours of the excursion, or failure to attend, are non-refundable.

 

Late Arrivals

• Guests are required to arrive at the agreed meeting point on time.

• Late arrival may result in a shortened ride or reduced service, depending on availability, daylight, tides, and horse welfare.

• In some cases, late arrival may result in cancellation of the excursion, particularly if it impacts safety, schedules, or other guests.

• No refunds will be given for late arrivals, shortened services, or cancelled excursions resulting from late arrival.

We strongly recommend allowing extra travel time and contacting us as soon as possible if you anticipate being delayed.

7. Optional Extras & Third-Party Services

Optional extras such as transfers, meals, videos, or special arrangements are subject to availability and may be provided by third parties. While we aim to ensure quality and reliability, we cannot be held responsible for third-party services beyond our direct control.

 

8. Photography & Video

By participating, you consent to photographs or videos being taken during the excursion for promotional purposes, unless you inform us otherwise in advance.

9. Liability & Insurance

We take every reasonable measure to ensure the safety of our guests and the wellbeing of our horses. However, participation is at your own risk. We are not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings. .

​

We strongly recommend that all guests have appropriate travel insurance that covers horse riding activities.

 

10. Animal Welfare

The welfare of our horses is our highest priority. Rides may be shortened or cancelled to protect the horses’ health and wellbeing. Any mistreatment of animals will result in immediate termination of the ride without refund.
