Our Stable

A peaceful countryside escape

Our stables are located around 20 minutes walk from the centre of Sidi Kaouki, in a peaceful location in the heart of the countryside.

We have a small outdoor school where we are able to hold riding lessons and allow you the opportunity to get to know your horse before we head out on the trek.

Our horses each have their own large stable, which has been built using traditional methods...blending seamlessly into the landscape and keeping our horses cool in the hotter months.

What to expect

1 / What happens when we arrive?

When you arrive you will be introduced to your guide and your horse. You will be provided with safety equipment and for beginners a brief introduction to horseback riding.

Your guide will help you mount your horse and ensure that all of your tack is adjusted so that you are safe and comfortable. You will have a few minutes in our outdoor school to get comfortable with your horse before we set off on our trek.

2 / What should I wear for my horse riding experience?

We recommend that you wear a closed toe shoe with a small heel (such as a Chelsea boot) or trainers.

We find our riders are more comfortable wearing long trousers.

For sunset rides its always good to bring a light layer as it can get cold when the sunsets.

As you will be outdoors without shade we advise that you wear suitable sun protection and sunglasses can be useful to protect your eyes from both the sun and the sand.

3 / Do I have to wear a helmet?

Whilst we do not require that helmets are worn, for your own safety these are provided and we advise that these are worn.

4 / Are the rides suitable for beginner riders?

We accept riders of all abilities including beginners.

If it is your first time riding we recommend that you book one of our shorter experiences. We are also able to add on a riding lesson to any of our rides so that you can build your confidence before heading out on a trek.

For mixed ability groups please be aware that the pace of the ride will be determined by the least experienced member of your group.

5 / Are the rides suitable for children?

We offer short lead rein rides (where the horse is held by a guide) which are most suitable for very young children. The child must able to sit and balance by themselves on the horse.

Our other rides are suitable for children of around 12 and above. Its best to contact us by email or WhatsApp and we can advise of the right option for your family.

6 / Will I get to canter or gallop on the beach?

The pace of the ride will be determined by your guide with consideration for safety of rider, horse and other beach visitors.

The guide must have confidence that you have sufficient balance and are in good control of your horse. The conditions on the beach such as the tide will also be taken into consideration.

7 / Will I get photos and videos of my ride?

Your guide will take photos and videos of your ride on Iphone (when it is safe for them to do so) and share these with you after the ride via WhatsApp or Airdrop.

If you would like professional photos / videography please contact us for a quotation.
